For this project each creator was given an emotion to depict for the ident and mine was Confusion. 17th century still life paintings traditionally examine our earthly achievements and material pleasures. Beneath the surface of inanimate objects, they can offer valuable perspectives on different lifestyles and historic eras.
By mixing objects from the modern era, deeply affected by globalism and technology advancement, and objects from a 17th century still life painting, your expectations are subverted and a feeling of confusion is portrayed. The result stimulates the viewers perception of still life paintings and illustrates a celebratory mixture of cultures and historic eras.
